An ongoing dispute apparently led to a fatal shooting Saturday evening.

Officers were called about 6 p.m. to a residence in the 1000 block of North Troost Avenue, where they found a 34-year-old man who had been shot one time, Tulsa Police Department Cpl. Gene Watkins said. The man later died at a local hospital.

An ongoing dispute apparently led to a confrontation and the shooting at the residence, where a party was being held, Watkins said.

Homicide detectives were interviewing witnesses late Saturday and attempting to identify the shooter, Watkins said.

The victim’s name was not being released until his family could be notified.
