ME's ex-investigator due trial on sex-battery count
He resigned in February, citing job stress.

Kevin E. Rowland: The former chief investigator for the state Medical Examiner's Office is accused of touching a male employee in a lewd and lascivious manner at an Oklahoma City Mexican restaurant. Rowland's attorney said he was only joking around.

OKLAHOMA CITY — The former chief investigator for the state Medical Examiner's Office was ordered Friday to stand trial on a sexual battery charge.

Kevin E. Rowland, 44, is accused of touching a male employee in a lewd and lascivious manner at an Oklahoma City Mexican restaurant in December 2007.

Oklahoma County Special Judge Greg Ryan ordered the trial after hearing testimony from the male employee.

Rowland's attorney said he was joking around.
