OKLAHOMA CITY — The fired president of Feed The Children said Friday that donors should not give to the charity until "all of this mess is cleaned up."

The charity's board of directors fired Larry Jones, 69, on Nov. 6. He is suing the directors to get his job back. Four other fired employees are suing directors, too.

"Let me ask you this: Do you want to feed the children or feed the lawyers?" Jones told The Oklahoman in a copyrighted story. "It's still cloudy on where the money goes. I'm saying, 'Don't give to Feed The Children until this is cleaned up.' "

Jones and his wife founded the charity 30 years ago. He has been the chief fundraiser. The charity has reported raising more than $1 billion a year in donations of cash and gifts.

He is a pig. Let the children go hungry if he can't get a portion himself, either of the money or the glory.
The corruption seems to have stemmed from him. Perhaps now, with him out of the picture, more children will actually be fed even if there is less money.

This thing was always a massive scam of epic proportions. A civilized country would have executed this crook years ago.

This guys is a piece of work. He is the worst kind of thief. He has asked for money to feed children and he ends up taking a large amount of that money to live like a King. He has hired his family and friends and there has never been accountability for all of the money slushing around there. Now the pigs are fighting over the children's food money. Shut the blasted thing down. It is now and has always been a crooked operation.

He has been a crook and a thief for decades. He does not deserve to be reinstated as the Roberts family stole and lied themselves to millions of dollars. Beware of any religious affiliates who only rely on donations.

Zoltar, unless you are being sarcastic you might need to find a "God" who is a better judge of character.

He has got to be a piece of work to get fired by a charity he founded.

"It's still cloudy where the money goes?" How hard is that to figure out. Clean all of the snakes out of the den.

I donated a truckload of bottled water (1,440 cases) and sent it via Feed the Children in September 05 for Katrina vicitms.

The water got to its destination in Gulfport, Mississippi as promised.

Until the recent troubles this was a good organization.

(I didn't take a tax deduction)

This is not uncommon for any charity, not just religious based. Wherever money flows there will be greed.
