Two men were stabbed Saturday evening during a disturbance at the Comanche Park Apartments.
Officers responded to a disturbance call around 5:30 p.m. at the apartments in the 3600 block of North Quaker Avenue and found that two men in their 20s had been stabbed, Tulsa Police Department Cpl. Gene Watkins said.
The victims, who are related, were transported to a local hospital and are expected to survive their injuries.
Police were not releasing the identities of the victims or the stabbing suspect Saturday evening as the investigation into the incident continued, Watkins said.

Again, not meant to be racist, but it's sad that black people keep killing each other. I suppose most of them don't expect to live very long....and that's just really too bad.

Some people may not live a long time but I think most people expect to live a long time, regardless of race. Please don't generalize.

Cherwood, did I miss something in the story? NO where at this time in the story did it mention that the 2 were african-americans males. I know for a fact that there are other races that live at Comanche Park Apartments. So if you have inside knowledge please do share it. If you don't know for sure please hold hold off on your racist comments. It doesn't matter what race the victims may be, it is sad when any of our youth is stabbing or shooting each other.

Why don't all these losers come out from their holes, line up across from one another, someone say go, and just let them go at it. When it's all said and done, we won't have to read about this crap anymore.

Big Daddy T is right. At this time we don't know the race of the victims or the perps. But I'll bet a dollar to a doughnut that the suspects were wearing dark hoodies and that nobody saw nuthin'!

Most people don't want to live in these apartments, but with the cost of cigarettes and cable these days, it's tough to afford a nicer place.

There should be a serious, informed discussion sometime of the crime problem in north Tulsa and the reasons -- as understood by qualified law enforcement personnel, criminologists and other well educated analysts -- as to why things are what they unfortunately are. This would be a discussion devoid of the usual snarky remarks, race-oriented assumptions, play to stereotypes and vague attempts at validating longstanding ancestral prejudices. It would be something a cut above much of the rants that make schoolyard taunts sound sophisticated. It would actually educate us.
You will not hear that kind of discussion on the World's message board whenever a crime is reported. Not here. Not ever.

I'll try to comment on that with hopes of not being labeled as racist. I think alot of the problems in north Tulsa tie back into the family structure. It is very, very sad but there is a strong percentage of single parent households in north Tulsa. As hard as the parent may try its hard to be able to spend enough time with a child as needed when you are supporting them alone. They then turn to friends who are unfortunately in the same boat. This unguided group of youth is where many gangs spring from. The sense of family that gangs bring is what they are lacking and seeking so much of. Unfortunately this lifestyle breeds violence and crime in its unguided sense of direction. Very sad!
You will also see this in other parts of Tulsa and other cities in different demographics. It's not at all a white/black/hispanic thing at all. Now I will say that this is not a sure thing because there are so many stories of kids
succeeding through adversities.
We were all young once and remember the mischevious anger filled times that we went through growing up. I just think it is easier to clear these trying times with both a strong mother/father figure active in your life.

If these two dont have insurance, and turn out to be trouble makers, will they be covered under the new proposed insurance by the Dems?

WHy don't they let these idiots go at it. They chose to do this. Why should innocent people be hurt or killed trying to protect them. Probably fighting over something they can't change anyway.

People being killed and other people making jokes.
It was called the black wall street.
Wonder is this how it started when north Tulsa had wealth and took care of their own.....Before the fire. Before the military. Before.....
Don't respond to me unless you know where the front page of the Tulsa World is from the day the Tulsa Race Riots of 1921 is.

I used to work in office of Comanche park and I know that there are more good, hardworking people living there than there are trouble makers, but trouble makers make more noise, cause more problems, and end up in more newspaper articles than the good people. Some of the problems are caused by the THA management. I remember one manager saying on tv that THA's job was to provide apartments and anything else was the tenants problem. Clearing up Comanche Park is going to have to be a joint venture of the tenants and management. Police checks should be run before renting apts. The tenants should be held responsible for the behavior of family and guests and adequate security should be posted. If people work together, problems can be solved.

Comanche Park now isn't even a fraction of the problem it was years ago. The police basically deal with the problems after they arise. THA on the other hand can and should but a stop to it. If you cause trouble then you and your family will need to find another place to live.

They're already carving up the turkeys over there. A place like that if you gotta be there it's best to stay inside and keep your mouth shut. A lot of irate African Americans in there. Ghetto prison. Convicts slipping under the wire abusing they baby momma privelege and so on and so on. Peace out people.
