Perfect weather greeted runners Sunday morning for the fourth annual Route 66 Marathon, which had a world record winner.

Zac Freudenburg of St. Louis beat the record for running a marathon while pushing a stroller. His Guinness World record time while pushing 10-month-old Liam was 2:32:10.

Finishing about two minutes later with his son Grant, 11 months, was Michael Wardian.

They were the top two marathon finishers in Tulsa Sunday. Chelsea Jones of Norman won the female division with a course record of just over three hours

The event featured a new route to show off downtown Tulsa, and boasted nearly twice the participation as last year in the 5K and relay runs.

"It was a great run," said Michelle Alexander, who finished the half-marathon.

She and her friends from Prague - Kim Riggs, Vallery Feltman and Cyndi Holik - ran in remembrance of their partner Colleen Cleveland.

Cleveland collapsed during a training run in preparation for the Route 66 Marathon. She had a pre-existing heart condition, Alexander said.

"She had a passion for running and for life in general," she said.

The race featured 30 live bands on 17 stages throughout the trail, and included a car show with at least 60 classic cars.
