Last Modified: 1/26/2010 5:36 AM
Coleman Davis, a longtime Tulsa labor union leader, died Monday at a Florida hospital. He was 63.
Funeral services are pending.
A graduate of Central High School in Tulsa, Davis was the president and business manager of Teamsters Union No. 523 in Tulsa for more than two decades until the late 1990s.
For the last few years, he had been a union adviser.
Davis was active for many years in Oklahoma Democratic Party politics and served for several years as a board member for the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department.
His wife, Sharon King Davis, is a prominent Tulsa business leader, developer and longtime community volunteer.

I was blessed by having as a friend for 46 years. A wonderful fellow whose smile and wit and handshake and hug will never be forgotten. He was very generous and he was committed to his roll with the Teamsters to bring a quality life to all he worked with and for. His lovely wife Sharon and wonderful family are in my thoughts and prayers. Well done, Coleman; well done.

God bless you Sharon and to the rest of the family as well.
I'm sorry to read about this.
Sharon is a very kind person, has given free concerts there at 61st and Yale and I had the pleasure and honor of meeting her at one of her outdoor concerts. I'm so sorry for the loss.
