The driver of a vehicle in a May collision in Nowata County has died, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Monday.

According to the OHP, 70-year-old Gene Hobbs of South Coffeeville died Sunday at Jane Phillips Hospital.

The collision, which happened May 9 one mile north of Delaware on U.S. 169, is now listed as a double fatality.

According to the OHP, Hobbs was driving south when an unidentified driver tried to pass him without sufficient clearance.

The driver of a second vehicle heading north, 15-year-old Kyler Blagg of Caney, Kan., attempted to swerve to avoid the unidentified driver's vehicle, but lost control and entered the southbound lanes, according to troopers.

Troopers said 44-year-old Amy Blagg of Caney, Kan., died at the scene.
