WAURIKA — A Waurika man faces felony arson charges after he poured gasoline over his wife’s head and set her on fire, according to an affidavit filed in Jefferson County.
Scott Allen Black, 51, and his wife, Kathryn, were arguing June 4 in their home when Kathryn Black began to break items in the home with a hammer, according to the affidavit.
Scott Black walked to the garage and his wife followed. She asked him if they "were done” and began to pour gasoline onto a backpack, according to the affidavit.
Scott Black said, "If we are going to do this, let’s do it right,” and poured gasoline over her head and set her on fire with a cigarette lighter, according to the affidavit.
