A Haskell man apparently drowned after his pickup struck a bridge and overturned into a creek in Muskogee County, and a Stuart man died when he was ejected from a car that ran off a Hughes County road and overturned Wednesday, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Dead are Terry F. Wisdom, 66, of Haskell and Charles Brand, 65, of Stuart.

Wisdom was pronounced dead at the scene of the Muskogee County crash, which occurred between 4 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday on Duncan Road about 4½ miles west of Oklahoma 72, the OHP reported.

Wisdom was driving west at an unsafe speed, troopers said. His 1988 Chevrolet pickup failed to negotiate a curve and struck a bridge, overturning into a creek, the OHP said.

He was not wearing a seat belt, troopers said.

Brand was pronounced dead at the scene of a single-vehicle crash on a Hughes County gravel road about 3½ miles west of Stuart, troopers said.

He was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected when his 1990 Chevrolet ran off the road and rolled about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, the OHP reported.
