DRUMRIGHT — A fiery, head-on collision near Drumright has left two people dead.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 52-year-old Billy Ray Semler and 51-year-old Betty Semler of Drumright were killed in the crash on State Highway 33 about 8:15 p.m. Thursday.

Troopers say the two were in a westbound car when they met a car traveling east in the westbound lane.

Investigators say Semler swerved to the right in an effort to avoid a collision while the driver of the second car swerved to the left and the two cars crashed head-on and one caught fire.

The driver of the second car and a 15-year-old passenger in the Semler's car are hospitalized in serious condition.
