Choctaw County man accused of killing stepdaughter

HUGO - An 87-year-old Choctaw County man accused of killing his stepdaughter was declared incompetent on Tuesday, according to court records.

Coy Lee Tate, is charged in Choctaw County District Court in Hugo with first-degree murder and shooting with intent to kill.

He is accused of fatally shooting Jackie Endemano, 62, of La Habra, Calif. in the head. Her sister, Debra McKenzie, of Whittier, Calif., was shot in the shoulder.

According to court records Tate was confined to the Talihina Veterans Center until competent.

This was an argument between Coy and his 2 stepdaughters over the care he was giving their mother.

If he's not competent now at 87, I doubt he ever will be. It's only down hill for him!
