A man on a motorcycle, who officials say had been drinking, was killed Saturday when he struck a pickup he was trying to pass in Comanche County.

Patrick Seifert, 35, of Cache was killed about 5:40 p.m. when his Harley Davidson motorcycle struck a pickup driven by Leslie Carr, 61, of Lawton, an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report stated.

Both drivers were westbound on Cache Road when Seifert attempted to pass Carr on the left at an intersection where the latter was trying to turn left. Seifert swerved back to the right, struck the truck and was ejected from his bike. He died later at a hospital, the report stated.

Seifert was driving under the influence of alcohol, the report added. Carr, who was wearing a seatbelt, was not injured.
