An Idabel truck driver who was injured in a crash on a rain-slicked highway last week has died.

Martin Allen Becker, 59, died Tuesday at a hospital from injuries he suffered Sept. 2 in McCurtain County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Becker was headed north on U.S. 259 north of Broken Bow when he lost control of his 2000 International tractor-trailer. The rig overturned, trapping Becker inside for 30 minutes, troopers said.

He had head, neck and internal injuries and was taken to a Fort Smith, Ark., hospital, where he died this week, the OHP reported.

According to an OHP accident report, Becker was driving too fast for the rainy conditions, which contributed to the crash.
