Jury convicts Shawnee woman in 2004 beating death

CHANDLER — A Lincoln County jury has convicted a Shawnee woman of first-degree murder in the 2004 beating death of a 62-year-old Meeker woman.
Prosecutors say 32-year-old Twilia Renae Wise faces up to life in prison for the death of Wanda Jackson. Sentencing is set for Dec. 2.
Authorities say Jackson was found tied up with wire and beaten to death inside her home.
Investigators say Jackson's former son-in-law — Kenneth Brame — paid five other people to break into the home and attack Brame's ex-wife. Instead of the ex-wife they were met by Jackson inside the home.
Brame is serving a 20-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to first-degree murder in a plea deal with prosecutors.
