Shawnee adoption fair helps dogs find ‘good homes’

SHAWNEE — Friendly wags were exchanged between John Rawls’ old best friend, Russell, and a newly adopted canine companion, Elliot.

The two labradoodles met at an adoption fair Thursday where Elliot was one of about 100 dogs rescued from a Bethel Acres puppy mill.

"We came because we heard there were dogs that needed good homes,” said Rawls of Oklahoma City.

"We wanted to find Russell a pal and help with the cause.”

Mans Best Friend!! I found a sign at the dollar tree that says The more I get to know some people the Better I like my Dog. Of course, I bought it and hung it by my computer. Even though it gave me quite a chuckle, there was so much truth to it, it wasn't even funny. LOL....
