District attorney to review stabbing death in Wewoka

WEWOKA — Prosecutors will be asked to review a weekend stabbing death to decide whether charges should be filed.

The stabbing incident involved two brothers. Police were sent to 215 W Cedar St. about 9 p.m. Saturday and found stabbing victim Erwin Wimberly, 44.

Wimberly’s brother, Labron Cosby, 51, was arrested in connection with the stabbing, according to an Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation news release.

The two were arguing in a vacant lot where others were gathered, the news release stated.
