Prue woman killed in traffic accident; McAlester man dies six weeks after crash
By STAFF REPORTS

An Osage County woman was killed Monday when her car hit a pickup on Prue Road, and a man who was injured in a September traffic accident in Pittsburg County has died, authorities said.
Dead are Dorothy C. Goff, 43, of Prue and Vincent Edwards, 45, of McAlester.
Goff was on Prue Road — 209th West Avenue — about 10 miles north of the Keystone Expressway when her 2005 Dodge went left of center about 9:45 a.m. Monday and struck an oncoming 1996 Isuzu pickup driven by Steven G. Randell, 59, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
The pickup went into a ditch and overturned.
Goff was pinned in the wreckage of her car for about 2½ hours, the OHP reported. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Randell was treated at a Cleveland, Okla., hospital and released, troopers said.
Both people had been wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
Edwards died Saturday, six weeks after a Sept. 26 crash on U.S. 270 about 4½ miles west of McAlester, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
Edwards was driving west on the two-lane highway when his 2003 Chevrolet pickup veered off the road and struck an embankment about 2:15 a.m. The pickup rolled twice and landed on its wheels, troopers said.
Medics took Edwards to a McAlester hospital in critical condition with head and internal injuries, the OHP reported. He had not been wearing a seat belt, the OHP reported.
