LAWTON — A judge has ordered two men to stand trial for the killing of a 6-year-old boy during a drive-by shooting in Lawton.

Hikeem Lambirth was hit in the chest by one of eight shots fired into his home on April 5.

Comanche County District Judge Ken Harris decided Monday that Maurice Tubbs and Jeremy McKindra should stand trial.

Testimony at their preliminary hearing indicated the shooting was in retaliation for shots fired earlier at Tubbs' home and car.

At the preliminary hearing, defense attorneys challenged the credibility of Corey Adams, a key witness against the men.

Tubbs is being held in jail on a $1 million bond. Bond is set for McKindra at $750,000.
