Canadian County commissioner killed in wreck

OKLAHOMA CITY - Grant Hedrick, Canadian County commissioner for District 3, was killed in a single-vehicle wreck today, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Hedrick, 46, of Calumet, was found dead at the scene of the crash on Walbaum Road near Britton Road and north of State Highway 66 about 8:10 a.m.

He was not wearing his seat belt when his pickup left the roadway for an unknown reason and overturned. He was ejected, the patrol reported.

Hedrick had been a Canadian County commissioner for 11 years.
