Daily U.S. casualties

Afghanistan: As of Tuesday, at least 831 members of the U.S. military had died in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Uzbekistan as a result of the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan in late 2001, according to the Defense Department.

No new U.S. deaths were reported by the military.

The latest identifications reported by the military:

Marine Sgt. Cesar B. Ruiz, 26, of San Antonio, died Saturday while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. Assigned to Marine Forces Reserve, New Orleans.

Iraq: As of Tuesday, at least 4,356 members of the U.S. military had died in the Iraq war since it began in March 2003, according to an Associated Press count.

No new U.S. deaths were reported by the military and there were no new identifications.

Perhaps now B. Hussein will get off the campaign trail, get off his worthless butt, and make a decision for either troop buildup or bringing them all home.
