Murder charges filed in Edmond toddler's death

OKLAHOMA CITY — An Oklahoma City man has been charged with first-degree murder in the beating death of a 2-year-old boy in Edmond.
Oklahoma County prosecutors on Thursday charged 24-year-old Rico Antwoine Berry in the Oct. 13 death of Jolen Babakhani.
Edmond police say Berry was baby-sitting the toddler while the child's mother was at school. When the woman returned home, the boy wasn't breathing. He died later at an Oklahoma City hospital.
According to a police affidavit, Berry gave conflicting stories to investigators, but acknowledged throwing the child down and punching him in the forehead.
Court records do not indicate if Berry has retained an attorney.

My question is why are there so many people who are so desperate of not being alone?

Another sad case of the mother's boyfriend killing her baby. Single mothers need to realize that the vast majority of the babies that die from Shaken Baby Syndrome or some other violent death come at the hands of their "boyfriends." It is the mothers #1 life responsible to ensure the safety and welfare of her baby.

One thing for certain he had no heart, no love, no compassion. And neither did the poor child mother.

Berry, hopefully, gets to spend the rest of his life in jail for being a bully.
