ARDMORE — About 250 Ardmore students were vaccinated for swine flu Friday, as many in the community grieved the death this week of 10-year-old Landry Swanson.

Landry died Tuesday from complications from the swine flu, or H1N1 virus. His funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Ardmore.

The vaccination clinic was at Ardmore Middle School because that school has had the greatest number of student absences due to illness, said Superintendent Ruth Ann Carr. The school has about 600 students.

Landry is survived by his parents, Lance and Christi Swanson, and two brothers, Carter, 14, and Jason Cal, 5.

I wonder how many of these people getting the vaccination had before hand decided against vaccination until this young boy died.
