Six hurt in shooting and other incident at Langston University
OKLAHOMA CITY - Only one person has been jailed in connection with a shooting reported at Langston University early Sunday, authorities said this morning, despite early reports that five people were arrested.
Four people were shot early Sunday at Langston Univesity and three of them were hospitalized, said Chief Deputy Rob Groseclose, Logan County Sheriff's spokesman. He did not know their medical conditions.
Gunfire erupted on the Langston campus about 1 a.m. Sunday behind Jones Hall at a campus party. One person suffered a graze wound to the head, one had a gunshot wound in the back and another person suffered a gunshot wound to the thigh, authorities said Sunday.
The names of the victims have not been released, Ashley Gibson, Langston University spokeswoman said today.

The worst part is the suspects weren't students, just hanging around to start trouble. If you're going to hang around...wouldn't it make sense to enroll in a class or two?

Well there not much to do in Langston other than the University there a small grocery store, that's about it. I just bet there was a whole lot of booze involved.

I think there was a shooting last year at Langston. Do you think there will be one next so we can go three years in a row? Also, why is non student allowed to attend a back to school function? For a very small college they have a lot of problems with guns.

Pray for the safety of all the students there. Because a shooting anywhere at any college is nothing to be joking about! The victims are someone's children.

Langston has a lot of drug & gang activity to begin with. I was offered a scholorship there because I was white & a minority. I would have to be crazy to have accepted it. There are so many drug dealers living in the dorms. Drug dealers that aren't students at all. Like this guy Lamar sold crack out of the dorm that his girlfriend stayed in. I'm sure this can happen at any school, but it seems to happen more often at this school.

im4osu, you've obvoiusly never been to Langston then have you? LOL If you're white, I wouldn't suggest going there anyway.
