The lease of a property in Arezzo, Italy, for enhanced study abroad educational opportunities and an on-site auto parts inventory for fleet services on the Norman campus are among items to be considered by the University of Oklahoma Board of Regents at its regular meeting this week in Lawton.

The OU portion of the meeting will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cameron University. Items submitted by Rogers State University and Cameron University will be discussed Thursday, according to a release.

The OU Regents will consider a recommendation to negotiate and execute lease and renovation agreements, in cooperation with the OU Foundation, for property in Arezzo, Italy.

The agreement, if approved, would address transportation, living accommodations, meals and other logistical and student life challenges.

The regents also will hear a report on the anticipated annual activity for an on-site supplier consignment auto parts inventory, to be located in OU's Fleet Services building.

The contract, upon approval, calls for Fleet Services to receive stock for timely vehicle repairs without assuming the associated inventory investment. The contract will enable Fleet Services to reduce inventory and avoid loss associated with obsolete parts.
