The Oklahoma State University Foundation has named Barry Pollard of Waukomis as its new chairman.

Pollard is a neurosurgeon who practices in Enid, where he also runs a farming and ranching operation. He also owns nine John Deere Dealerships through P&K Equipment.

He grew up in Hennessey, earned a biochemistry degree from OSU in 1973 and then received his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma.

“Dr. Pollard is one of the busiest people I know, but we are so pleased he has accepted this position,” OSU Foundation President Kirk A. Jewell said. “His passion and dedication to OSU and the Foundation is evident in his gifts of both time and resources to help OSU. Now he will serve in this new leadership capacity, and the biggest beneficiary will be current and future OSU students.”
