SPIRO — A 67-year-old Spiro woman has died after being hit by a vehicle while trying to walk across U.S. Highway 271 in Le Flore County.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says that at about 9:25 p.m. Monday, Millie B. Jeffery was attempting to cross the highway about 1.5 miles north of Spiro.
Troopers say she was struck by a vehicle driven by 52-year-old Nancy S. Jeffery, who was not injured. Millie Jeffery died upon arrival at a Fort Smith, Ark., hospital.

I wonder if these two ladies were related??? That would really suck to hit you own relative!!!! Or maybe it wasn't an accident. Anyway, may you rest in peace Ms. Jeffery.
