STILLWATER — Police Officer Louis Alvie “Buck” Morris told a colleague that he intended eventually to marry the 15-year-old girl he’s charged with raping, court records show.

Morris, 48, and the girl knew each other through Morris’ job as a resource officer at Stillwater Junior High School and through her friendship with his son, according to an arrest affidavit filed Tuesday in Payne County District Court.

Prosecutors charged Morris on Tuesday with two felony counts of rape by instrumentation and three felony counts of committing lewd acts with a child younger than 16.

As police investigated him, Morris initially told fellow Officer Guy Palladino in late May that he only exchanged text messages and phone calls with the girl, Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation agent Richard Brown wrote in the affidavit.
