Our sympathy for the loss of this child. Us kids need better teachers, all these kids drown because they do not relax the muscles. It is simply a matter of the ratio of density between the floater and the water. The more you panic the faster you sink. Good swimmers drown because they panic and never learned to float on water. Just one more thing they forget to teach you in public schools. The deeper the water is the easier it is to float. If you are cramping, turn on the back at once, kick out the leg in the air, disregarding the pain, and rub the spot smartly with one hand, while the other is employed in paddling towards shore. Even the good swimmers go down like a rock with a cramp; you got to learn to float and not panic. All people should be taught these things. CPR should be taught in school too. Teaching kids how to save lives, insted of video games of taking lives.
