A chance of thunderstorms will continue across Oklahoma on Tuesday.

The National Weather Service said the opportunity for precipitation will linger over the next few days as a cold front drives slowly southward across the region. Temperatures are expected to cool down near or below seasonable averages.

On Monday, skies were clear to partly cloudy and temperatures ranged from 87 degrees in Kenton to 103 degrees in Fairview and Lawton. Other triple-digit readings included 102 degrees in Clinton, Freedom, Grandfield and Tipton; 101 degrees in Altus, Alva, Enid, Frederick, Guthrie, Hobart, Hollis, Laverne, Seiling and Woodward and 100 degrees in Buffalo, Chickasha, Kingfisher, Porter, Tulsa, Watonga and Waurika, according to the Oklahoma Mesonet.

The mercury in Oklahoma City peaked at 96 degrees.

Skies should be partly cloudy Tuesday and Wednesday with a chance of showers and thunderstorms statewide on Tuesday and a chance mainly for western Oklahoma on Wednesday, according to the weather service.

Temperatures should top out in the 90s and low 100s on Tuesday and cool into the 80s and 90s on Wednesday. Lows Wednesday night are expected to fall into the 60s and 70s.

Mostly clear conditions are expected Thursday and Friday. Temperatures are forecast to reach the 90s both days and dip into the 60s and 70s Thursday and Friday nights.

There are no storms in Oklahoma. The liberal media just wants you to think there are.

I guess that rain I now hear and wind blowing are figments of my imagination. Oh yeah I hear thunder too, my hearing must be malfunctioning.

Exactly! Another victim of the propaganda of the Tulsa World's ultra-liberal editorial board!
