LANGSTON — Five people were injured and five people were arrested after a shooting early today on the Langston University campus in Logan County, a university spokeswoman said.
A sixth person was arrested and another person hurt in an incident involving a woman who hit another person with her car on campus about the same time, university spokeswoman Ashley Gibson said.
The identities of those involved in both incidents were not released. None are Langston students, Gibson said.
Campus police and sheriff's deputies responded to the shooting about 1:10 a.m. in a parking lot behind Jones Hall, Gibson said. One person with a graze wound to the head, one person with a gunshot to the back and another with a gunshot to the thigh were taken to OU Medical Center in unspecified conditions. Two others were taken to Oklahoma City hospitals in private vehicles with gunshot wounds.

School is back on and now crime is heading back to the campus. Sad state of affairs.

Don't want to profile the student body at this university either. My gosh, were the people even enrolled or just part of a posse of druggies that followed enrolled folks to the university.???

The article stated none were Langston students. So in other words unless they were parents of the students or administrators/faculties, they had no business being on campus especially at that time of the morning.
You are right, eglkeeper, you don't want to profile the student body, that wouldn't be "politically correct".

One of them is the chairman of the Oklahoma Republican Committee. Crazy Huh? The other two are Insurance company lobbyists. Go figure.

Thank you Mr Brown, we conservatives are an arrogant bunch and like to attack issues with the truth! Sometimes it hurts, don't it?

Being a student, it was known as a back to school party. It caters to all college students. Just because it said "none were Langston students" doesnt mean they had to be parents or faculty. As long as you had a college i.d. you could come.

More like a back to school Acorn (SEIU) meeting! You can't fool us conservatives!

Parents worry about their children for good cause. I remember statements in other threads ridiculing those who showed concerns for their children after they left for college.

Well there not much to do in the town of Langston, other than the University there's a little grocery store.
