VINITA — A 57-year-old woman has died after being crushed by a car door in Craig County in far northeastern Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol identified the woman as Linda Carol Bradley of Adair. The accident in which Bradley was killed occurred at about 8 a.m. southwest of Big Cabin on a county road.

The patrol says that a 1989 ford pickup truck that was unoccupied in a private drive but that was running and in gear started to move forward. Bradley attempted to get inside the vehicle and stop it but lost her footing.
