BIXBY — An 87-year-old man was killed Tuesday when the car in which he was a passenger crossed into oncoming traffic and hit a sport utility vehicle.

The Nissan sedan in which the man was a passenger left the roadway, went airborne and landed in a ditch before crossing the grass median and hitting an oncoming Honda Pilot on 151st Street near Harvard Avenue shortly after 5 p.m., Bixby Police Sgt. Andrew Long said.

The passenger, whose name was not released Tuesday night, was pronounced dead at the scene, Long said.

The driver of the Nissan, a 63-year-old man whose name also was not released, was hospitalized with a broken back and pelvis, Long said. Further information about his condition not available.

The woman driving the Honda, whose name was not released but who Long said is 62, was also taken to a hospital, but information on her condition also was not available.

So why have a story with no inforamtion available?
Sorry to hear when anyone dies but the story is rather pointless.

Country Boy...
I believe a news story is supposed to include Who, Where, When, How, and Why.
The story has all but the first. Not releasing names until families are notified is standard practice.
See?

Hmmm...
I omitted "What."
The story still has all the required available facts.

My son and I saw this as they were airlifting the person away. Terrible scene about 5:30. They were still cleaning up at 7:30.
