Brittany Michelle Pritchett, 19, and Brandon Wayne Brunson, 35, were arrested Monday night at a Haskell residence, where police say the teenage girl was taken against her will.

Maj. Carole Newell said authorities searched the residence before taking Pritchett and Brunson into custody on complaints of kidnapping, first-degree rape, manufacturing child pornography and assault with a dangerous weapon.

“It’s pretty heinous,” Newell said.

The girl had left her home to meet Pritchett without telling her parents, who reported her missing Sunday night, police said.

The girl told police that she went to meet Pritchett to talk at a public park about a recent breakup she had. But when she got into the car with Pritchett, Newell said, the girl realized that a man was hiding in the back seat and that they weren’t going to a park.

The assault with a dangerous weapon complaint was filed because police believe that Pritchett and Brunson injected the girl with methamphetamine. The pair also allegedly videotaped the sexual assault.

Police called Pritchett on Monday morning to ask if she knew where the girl was “and that was enough for them to bring her back,” Newell said.

Records show Brunson has spent time in prison in the past for drug possession and robbery. Pritchett received a deferred sentence earlier this year for drug possession, court records show.
