A McAlester teenager was killed in a Saturday morning crash in Pittsburg County.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Charles Allen was traveling north on Bache Road at about 7:30 a.m. when he failed to stop for a stop sign at U.S. 270 and struck a westbound car driven by Bradley Hutson.

The accident caused Allen’s 14-year-old son, Jacob, to be ejected from the vehicle, troopers said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both drivers were treated and released at McAlester Regional Health Center.

The drivers were both wearing their seatbelts, but the younger Allen was not, according to OHP reports.
