Owasso man charged in pipe bomb incident
Dylan Hayes

A 19-year-old Owasso man who is accused of having a pipe bomb in his apartment was charged Tuesday with a felony count of unlawful possession of an explosive device.
Dylan Hayes was also charged with two counts of possession of a controlled drug within 1,000 feet of a school.
Residents in part of The Greens apartments, near 86th Street North and 145th East Avenue in Owasso, were evacuated Nov. 16 after officers found the bomb while serving a search warrant for narcotics.
The Tulsa Police Department's Bomb Squad was called to assist and determined that the device was safe, police said.
Officers seized about a pound of marijuana and other paraphernalia, police said.
Hayes was arrested last week and is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 14.

With that look and a pipe bomb, one could be forgiven for thinking that young Dylan here fancied himself the next Unibomber.

The man has no friends. Friends would not let friends get arrested looking like that.
They are investigating murder. If he didn't kill his hairdresser, he should have.

There was another recent "pipe bomb" incident where an officer supposedly had one of the "bombs" go off in his hand, but it was reported that no one was hurt. So maybe the definition of "pipe bomb" is a little broader than it used to be.
