I'm as conservative as they get, and TW Shannon is bought and paid for. OK grassroots groups do not support him. He never supported the grassroots groups, either, until he announced his run. He hasn't voted on a single bill since the announcement. As Speaker, he spent a total of 4 minutes debating bills in SIX years.... Shall I continue?

I'm not from "the left" but I fail to see any relevance in Sarah Palin. She resigned mid-way through her term as governor of Alaska costing her state money to fill a vacated post. She was chosen by the McCain campaign solely because of her gender; she had no bone fide record or qualifications. It is people like her that are damaging to the GOP in the long term.

When Palin is not reading a script someone else has written, she is Mrs. Malaprop. Not even Roger Ailes could risk her on air on her own.

    Oh, lucky, lucky T.W.

I wouldn't vote for Shannon even if the Pope endorsed him. I like to try to vote for someone who is not already bought and paid for by special interests even before they are elected. Shannon has already been ruined IMO.

Those comments from the left denigrating Sarah Palin likely have a misogynist origin, and those comments denigrating Shannon likely have a racist origin...

From the way the article is written, this is an AP editing error. There are no quotes around that sentence, as there should have been if those were her words. Don't journalism students have to study grammar any more?

Are you kidding? The media and liberals loved Sara Palin. If she wasn't constantly saying the dumbest things, the media wouldn't have so much "Sara Palin says the darndest things" footage to report (it's great TV.) Liberals liked her because she practically handed the democrats a victory in 2008. Liberals wish she would stay in the media and keep talking...

Overcoming 'diversity'. Please tell me she actually said this, and it wasn't an editing blunder. Overcoming diversity, not adversity...can't handle the stupid.

His "counterpart"? You mean, because he's black? Because that's the ONLY thing the two have in common!

She and McCain carried this state. The only people who don't like her was the media and liberals.

She left office before she left office broke. One lawsuit after the other drove her out and she didn't lose a one of them. But under Alaska law the Governor has to pay for their own attorneys, if the suit is over ethics.

He "overcame" diversity to become a dynamic young conservative leader?

Is she stating / admitting / acknowledging that conservatives are, in general, sexist and racist, and that someone who isn't a white male would have to struggle to become a conservative leader? Her words, not mine. Taking her actual quote and trying to figure out what she means, Sarah would call this "gotcha journalism".

Did he ever have your vote? If he didn't seek her support, why would penalize him for receiving it?

Getting an endorsement from the airhead Sarah Palin might not help T W Shannon that much.

Still, I remain undecided between Shannon and Lankford.

Kayla, I'm not sure he was seeking her support but she decided to support him in which cancels my vote for him. He had my vote until this.[sad]

She's a half-term governor and a failed vice presidential candidate-- why should we care?

Surprising that someone would seek her endorsement.

    Next!

He won't have the votes of this household. Just another Rhino wearing an expensive Conservative suit, attempting to fool voters with his looks and bright smile. Hmm, sounds just like his counterpart Barack Obama.
