Eden Watson can tell you exactly how many steps she has taken today, and how many minutes of aerobic exercise she has accumulated this week.

The Oral Roberts University freshman is not alone. All 900 incoming students at ORU can do the same thing, and the school itself has access to each student’s data.

Gartner just reported that by 2018, 2 million employees will be required to wear health and fitness tracking devices as a condition of employment. This is a trend that is being embraced in the working world so why not start in college? ORU has been rated in the top 5% of U.S. Universities and are a true pioneer in this area. I think it's great!

This is sickening . . .these students are signing away their rights to keep their own medical data private. ORU needs to be sued for this. The info they can get out of a Fitbit is WAY more than what students used to write down in their notebooks.
