Pop and R&B icon Janet Jackson will perform at the BOK Center on Oct. 26, officials announced.
Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Sept. 8 for $41, $61, $91 and $127. This is Jackson's fifth world tour and the first time she has performed in Oklahoma since 1990.
Jackson, who has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide, is best known for her dancing choreography and influence on other performers. The Rock Witchu tour will be promoting hits from her 2006 LP "20 Y.O." and this year's "Discipline" album. This is her first tour in more than seven years.
Jackson is ranked by Billboard magazine as one of the top ten best-selling music artists in the history of contemporary music, having sold more than 100 million albums worldwide. The Recording Industry Association of America lists her as the 11th best-selling female artist in the United States with 26 million certified albums.
In February 2004, Jackson and singer Justin Timberlake generated controversy when he tore open her top, exposing her breast on live national television during the halftime performance at Super Bowl XXXVIII. Timberlake called the incident a "wardrobe malfunction." Both performers apologized after the incident.
Jackson is the youngest of the Jackson family of musicians, which includes her brother, Michael.
