Dfyi: What you need to know
What’s up with the weird, non-corporate
stage names? Oh yeah, it’s an indie music
festival.
Hadaly Stage (main stage): Hadaly, a mechanical
woman run by electricity, in Auguste
Villiers de l’Isle-Adam’s “Tomorrow’s Eve”
(1886) — the novel credited with popularizing
the word “android.”
R.U.R. Stage (secondary stage): Artificial
people, in Karel Capek’s “R.U.R. (Rossum’s Universal
Robots)” (1921) — credited with coining
the term “robot.”
Take a shuttle, save time, stay cool
Dfest has a shuttle service this year. Get to
the grounds with
an air-conditioned ride.
Fans can park at OSU-Tulsa and TCC-Metro
campuses starting at 3 p.m. Friday. Five buses
will run continually, one making a stop every
5-10 minutes, until 2:30 a.m. Sunday.
