Bishop Kelley's gala to mark 50th

Bishop Kelley High School will "Celebrate the Spirit" at its 50th anniversary gala beginning at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 21 at Bishop Kelley.
Five decades of memories and music will await alumni, family and friends of the school as Bishop Kelley's president, the Rev. Brian O'Brien, welcomes everyone home.
The school's achievements will be highlighted in the decorations and other activities. Gourmet on the Go will cater an Italian dinner with retro accents such as Pennington's black-bottom pie and root beer floats. Dave and the Wave-tones will play for dancing and Ginger Holsted of Panache, a Bishop Kelley alumnus, will offer decorative reminiscing. Bill Lissau will produce a video of photos that will be shown on big screens around the room.
Those who attend are asked to bring a small memento to place in a time capsule to be opened at the 75th anniversary celebration and to post a fond memory to classmates or faculty online at the registration Web site (see below).
The gala co-chairmen are Lucia and John O'Connor and the advisory co-chairmen are Ann (Dickson) and Bill Lissau.
They all have great Bishop Kelley memories. John O'Connor was Mr. Kelley for the Class of '73, and the Lissaus met at the school in its first graduating class.
Also on the advisory committee are Kathy and Joe Craft, Susie Collins, Shelley and Mike Dill, Darcey and Joe Moran, Diane Perkins, Karen and Charles Stephenson, and Patsy and Dr. John Vosburgh.
The gala committee includes Sandi Anderson, Betsy
and Wally Bryce, Joey Copp, Maureen Copp, Mary Culver, Nancy Daley, Margo Dunbar, Stephani Franklin, Joe Frisbee, Jean Ann Hankins, Bill Harbison, Michele and Bruce Hatheway, Randy Heckenkemper, Madeline and Rick Hornak, Robin Lewis, Kate Littlefield, Marellie and David Littlefield, Katie Maguire, Kara Mandeville, Sheryl Matetich, Sheila and Charles Michie, Philip Monhaut, Regina Moon, Tom Nally, Gary Oberste, the Rev. Brian O'Brien, Betty O'Connor, Mary Ritchie, Gay Scherer, Beth Snapp, Kristine Stover-Walsh, and Sharon and Chris Victor.
Reservations for the gala are $50 per person or $35 per person for 2000-2006 graduates.
