WORKOUT
Running the Tulsa Run in 1:37:03 (chip time).
WHAT IT IS
FGP exceeding her goal time for the race she's always wanted to run (but never thought she could).
WHEN YOU CAN DO IT
Next year: Oct. 30, 2010. Until then, you can stay busy this month with the Nov. 14 McNellie's Pub Run, or the Route 66 Marathon events on Nov. 22: Full marathon, half marathon, 5-person marathon relay, Mayor's 5k run/walk and 1-mile fun run.
IT'S BEST FOR
Everybody who loves Tulsa and has always wanted to be a part of its biggest race/party.

FITNESS GUINEA PIG SAYS
Woooo! Wooooo! Woooo!
Yes, she's still pretty giddy about not only finishing the Tulsa Run 15k without
puking or passing out, but beating her goal time — by almost three whole minutes. That means she kept a 10:30 mile up for about 9 miles — something she never did on longer training runs.
How did she accomplish this? Two factors:
1. She really wanted to get to the finish line so she could stop running.
2. Tulsans are awesome. The people who turn out to cheer everyone on have no idea how much they're helping — but they are. FGP's friend Nancy made the coolest sign that said "Cary On." In case you saw this and thought she couldn't spell, that was for FGP. Duh.
So FGP was feeling pretty smug about her race day glory as a celebrity runner — until she realized the winner, Alene Reta, finished in about 44 minutes. Almost a whole hour faster.
Well, there's always next year.
