Oh, yeah. Wild Brew is on its way.

Tulsa's premiere annual beer-tasting festival is set from 5 to 8 p.m. Aug. 1 at Expo Square's Central Park Hall. A patrons-only hour will begin at 4 p.m.

Expect more than 80 beers from around the world and food from some of our most popular restaurants.

Shelby Eicher and Mark Bruner, and MidLife Crisis Band will make the music.

Toni Garrison and Kari Culp are the event co-chairwomen and Jim Langdon is the honorary chairman. Proceeds benefit the Sutton Avian Research Center in Bartlesville.

"The Sutton Center played a key role in helping re-establish the nesting of bald eagles throughout Oklahoma and the southeastern United States, and as a result our national symbol was removed from the endangered species list," said Toni Garrison.

"The money raised from 'Wild Brew' support the education, conservation and research needed to save rare and endangered species of birds throughout the country and around the world."

Langdon said Wild Brew "is just fun. It's affordable, entertaining and the most wonderful mix of people of all ages and professions. You won't find auction items, long speeches or rubber chicken, just great food and the best beer on the market."
