Carols & Crumpets offers quaint gifts

The Tulsa Herb Society's Carols & Crumpets is a gift to all of us.

The holiday festival, which is free to the public, offers wonderful herbal crafts, greenery, sought-after chutneys and vinegars, and that wonderful Snowflake Café. The Renaissance Ensemble will provide the melodies.

Patsy Wynn and Erna Schneider are co-chairwomen of the event set from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Tulsa Garden Center.

Betty Muratet is in charge of the Tulsa Herb Society's Snowflake Café. It's a great place to visit with friends and family while enjoying a light lunch. The café is located in the Garden Center's ballroom and will be open from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Vendors offering an incredible array of herbal holiday gifts include Maggie Bonanomi, owner of Simply Butternut, with whimsical artifacts; Kirk and Loretta Bowers, Clear Creek Farm & Gardens, crafts from nature; Tracy Evans, owner of the Spice Market; Judy Bailey, Artistry and Old Lace; and Peggy Kennedy from Overland Park, Kan., with antiques.

Also, the Calligraphy Guild of Oklahoma; Green Country Woodworkers; and Sandy Humbert Chapman, Kim and Ann Humbert with pottery, mosaic hypertufas, jams, jellies and vintage items.

Other vendors will include Leesa Cotton and Scentables; Crissie Gray with glass items; Charlotte and Dan Hayer of Laughing Rabbit Soap Co.; Maureen Hemmert, with her primitive crafts, bee skeps and chalkware; Cheryl Musick with pottery and birdhouses; Jean and Crissa Pankey of 3Peas in a Pod; and Randy Pennington from Arkansas with herbs, spices, cutting boards and wooden utensils. Maggie and Chris Regan will have metal items and Christmas whimsy from the Garden Deva Sculpture Co.

Also on hand will be Nancy Waldrip and Jalene Riley of Utopia Garden; Marsha Quilty; Judy and David Wheeler of Lavender Hill Farm. New vendors include Jackie Bowlin with J.B.'s Creations, Nancy Parke with Chateau Debris, and Heidi and Ron Jones with On the Wind.

Tulsa Herb Society vendor members who will have booths are Lou Ann Gray and Linda Randell. Tulsa Herb Society members making crafts and food for the event include Dianne Rodehaver, Pat Morris, Debbie Pleu, Susan Balogh and Janice Partridge.
