'American Idol' superstar David Cook plans Nov. 6 Oklahoma concert

Former Tulsa bartender, musician and "American Idol" winner David Cook will perform at the FireLake Grand Events Center on Nov. 6 in Shawnee.

Showtime is 7 p.m. Friday. Tickets are $44-$47, available via tulsaworld.com/FireLake. For more information or to check ticket availability, call the FireLake Gift Shop at (405) 964-7263.

Born in Houston and raised in Blue Springs, Missouri, within a week of his 2008 "American Idol" win, he had 14 songs on Billboard’s Hot Digital Songs chart and 11 on the Hot 100.

The seventh-season “American Idol” winner played a sold-out homecoming show at the historic Cain’s Ballroom in June.

The Casino is located just east of Oklahoma City on Interstate 40 at Exit 178.

	Report Comment dreamydraw, (10/31/2009 2:14:26 PM) oh RomeosTune, that's what people said two years ago and alas here he is two yrs later "Hotter, sexier and more popular than ever--he's in demand all over the world. He's has a long extended tour which started in Feb 09 and will end on Dec 31 (which is sold out)and he hasn't been to Europe yet Plus--his album went platinum in two and 1/2 months and his first two singles were platinum in less- than-a-year and his current singles are ready to go platinum. He puts on one hell of a rock show and you are exausted when you leave his concert. So I'd he's going to be around for a long time
