I like the guy, but you're going to get ambushed about "Oklahoma native David Cook". Perhaps "Tulsa music scene veteran" or some such? He was born in Texas and raised in Missouri.

There are some haters on this site that jump at any chance to hoot and holler about how he's not from Oklahoma.

Oh, and... Go Carrie!

The Man, Whoops. Thank you for pointing that out. We have fixed it to read "former Tulsan."

Carrie Underwood is talented but i really resent performers getting into Okla music hall of Fame when they no longer live in Oklahoma/ an actress or sports person may not have much choise where they play or pperform but a musician travels all over so there is no reason they can't make their home base in Oklahoma/ maybe not a small town but certainly Tulsa or Okc / she's talented but i don't consider her from Oklahoma any more /she lost that right when she moved/ it's not where someone is born it 's where they live

Carrie still lives with her parents in Checotah and still calls Checotah Home.Recently She started the CATS Foundation and Donated Musical Instruments to her Checotah Schools. She still calls Checotah Home-Home.She was born in Muskogee and votes in Oklahoma.A woman joins the Military from Oklahoma and is Stationed in Ft.Campbell KY/TN and lives there because its best for her work.I guess she's no longer a Oklahoman, also Carrie works all over the Country but a lot of her work and her band work is in Nashville Recording Studios. It would be dumb for her not to have a home also in Nashville.Carrie is a Oklahoma Star.Oklahoma is in her blood not just where she lives and she'll tell you that herself she is proud of her home State and being a Oklahoman along with Reba McIntire,Vince Gill,Toby Keith,Blake Shelton,Garth Brooks etc.Carrie's New Album "Play On" is Great Buy OIt.
