Checotah native Carrie Underwood continues her media blitz this month with several more appearances scheduled for prime-time, late-night and cable television shows.

It seems like all you have to do to see Carrie Underwood perform live these days is just turn on your television set.

Last week, she co-hosted the Country Music Association Awards show with Brady Paisley (but lost her bid for Best Female Vocalist to Taylor Swift). Her newest album, "Play On," charted at No. 1 on the Billboard country and all-genres charts, and its first single, "Cowboy Casanova," also hit No. 1 on the country songs chart.

The lineup:

Nov. 18: 9 a.m., ABC channel 8 in Tulsa, "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."

Nov. 19: 12:06 a.m., ABC channel 8 in Tulsa, "Jimmy Kimmel Live."

Nov. 22: 7 p.m., ABC channel 8 in Tulsa, "2009 American Music Awards."
Underwood is a nominee for favorite female country artist and will be a featured performer. Also, country act Rascal Flatts, featuring Picher native Joe Don Rooney, is nominated in the Favorite Band, Duo or Group category and Favorite Album category for "Unstoppable." In the Pop/Rock music category, Oklahoma City's Followill brothers are nominated in band Kings of Leon for Favorite Band, Duo or Group; for Alternative Rock Group; for Pop/Rock Breakthrough Artist and for Artist of the Year.

Nov. 26: 8 p.m., CNN cable channel 41 in Tulsa, "CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute." The public will select the "CNN Hero of the Year" via voting at CNN.com/Heroes. Voting ends Nov. 19.

Dec. 1: 8 p.m. on Country Music Television, cable channel 64 in Tulsa, "Invitation Only: Carrie Underwood." It also will re-air on CMT at 11 p.m. Dec. 2, noon Dec. 3, 9 a.m. Dec. 5, 9 a.m. Dec. 6, 9 p.m. Dec. 7, noon Dec. 8 and 10:30 a.m. Dec. 12.

Dec. 7: 7 p.m. on FOX, channel 23, cable channel 5 in Tulsa, "Carrie Underwood: An All-Star Holiday Special." Former Tulsan and "American Idol" winner David Cook will also appear with an array of stars.

Watched a little of the awards show last week and saw her on Conan last night, just by accident. I'm beginning to really like this girl as much if not more for her personality than her talent. Great sense of humor.

I'm not a fan of country, but at least Carrie shows that we got some good-lookin' women down here in Oklahoma!

Sweet talented young lady that I wish the very best for.......

but.....(there's always a but...)

when she started throwing herself at young celebrity professional athletes (a certain NFL quarterback)......I lost a lot of respect for her.

She doesn't seem to be interested in any man that isn't a celeb.....

The celeb hunks don't seem to be interested in her.........

Corvette: Where did you get the idea she "threw herself" at anyone? Perhaps he pursued her???

Corvette... she's been dating a professional hockey player for over a year now. A relationship of that length would hardly make me think she's just throwing herself at him...?

What the ?....,

when she first acquired the "new celebrity" status, she showed up at a Dallas Cowboys home game, and left word with Cowboy's staff that she would be "available" to the starting quarterback.

It worked, and they dated for a while until Jessica pressured Tony for a committed relationship. Tony sent a "dear John" letter.

The rest is history.

I'd call that "throwing ones-self"....... I'm just glad she didn't throw herself at me.

Don't shoot the messenger.....I'm just passing the inside facts on.

Why not ride the gravy train as long as you can. Idol sure gave her a great launch.
