When the vampire's away, the werewolves will play. "The Twilight Saga" is more than a fine romance — it's become an official obsession.

As the second film in the series, "New Moon," releases Friday, fans of the vampire romance will be lining up all around Tulsa.

Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), along with the rest of the world, has fallen for vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), and she'll have to pick up the pieces when her beloved suddenly leaves Forks, Wash.

Enter Bella's best friend and Edward's near-enemy, Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner).

Series author Stephenie Meyer has created a classic love triangle, and two sides have rapidly emerged. So who's better, Team Edward or Team Jacob? You decide.

Team Edward

He’s romantic, chivalrous and above all, dreamy. For many fans, it’s hard to tell where Edward Cullen begins and Robert Pattinson ends. For Team Edward members, the two are blissfully merged into one seriously swoonworthy heartthrob.

“(Bella and Edward) just fit. They’re the puzzle piece, and they complete each other.”
Danette Mangum, Tulsa cosmetologist

“I’m always going to be Team Edward. I like Jacob OK, but I’ve been a little disappointed with the advertising for (“New Moon”). It makes it look like Jacob and Bella’s relationship is really romantic. I saw a poster with him embracing her and stuff and that’s not how it really is.”
Ashleigh Stafford, children’s lead bookseller at Barnes & Noble, 8620 E. 71st St., and creator of the local book group, lifeaftertwilight.com.

“I’m fascinated by Edward. I think he’s absolutely captivating. After the movie was over — I went with my daughter on her birthday — I didn’t want to leave.”
Rohna Riley, Tulsa

“He’s great and sweet to (Bella), and he’ll do anything for her.”
Rosalie Butcher, 15, Booker T. Washington student

Team Jacob

He’s the boy next door and adorable best friend. Unlike Edward, Jacob seems easy and uncomplicated. That is until the moon comes out, so to speak. But Team Jacob fans like reliability and trust he’ll always be loyal to those he loves.

“He’s really sweet. I like him more than Edward. And he can transform (into a werewolf). That’s cooler than being stone cold.”
Teirra Thompson, 15, Booker T. Washington student

“I originally was Team Edward, but I have to say I see the point of Team Jacob. I see why he’s so great. What I’ve found is more people my age — I’m 26 — are Jacob fans. I think Edward is just so much more romantic. Jacob is more real.”
Kelly Singleton, library associate at Helmerich Library

“I like that he’s sweet and cool, but I also like Edward.”
Kelsey Thompson, 12, home-schooled

“I like Jacob because he’s like real and he’s not afraid to be honest with Bella. But I like Edward because he’s perfect in every way.”
Krista Dillingham, 16, Webster student

I think I will go and see this... but this franchise at least the movie version is lame. There better be blood and gore in this one. lol It is about vampires and werewolves and stuff... thats what they do...
I'm just disapointed that Boondock Saints II was not released in Tulsa.... far better film and actors in my oppinion.

My wife read the book and rented the first one. She got me hooked on it. I'm ready for this.
