Carlos Fuentes appearance at University of Tulsa canceled
Author Carlos Fuentes' Tuesday appearance as part of the University of Tulsa Presidential Lecture has been canceled.
"His representatives have said that unexpected family issues will preclude him from making his appearance at TU," according to TU's Web site.

For a $50 donation, you can purchase a card that provides holiday shopping savings until Nov. 8.
Nearly 170 of Tulsa's finest retailers, restaurants and food merchants are giving 20 percent discounts as part of the Care Card program.

Dinner has Spanish flavor
Oaxacan-braised Kobe beef short ribs with truffled whipped yuca,
porchini coulis

pasilla jus lie
highlight the menu for a Spanish-slanted wine dinner at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at
Bluestone Steakhouse, 10032 S. Sheridan Road.
Other dishes from chef Wade McCrackin will include herbed flatbread with chevre mousse, spicy lamb consume with blue corn posole and vanilla bean flan.
Wines will include a sauvignon blanc, tempranillo, malbec and rosado brut.

'Stride'-style concert set
