Brown Bag It concert

The Tulsa PAC Trust will present Northeastern State University's Trumpet Ensemble as the guest for its Brown Bag It concert, 12:10 p.m. Wednesday in the Westby Pavilion of the Tulsa PAC, 101 E. Third St. The concert is free, and patrons may bring a sack lunch.

Drink up, for a cause

Raise your glass at "Cocktails for the Cause," a fundraiser for Planned Parenthood of Eastern Oklahoma hosted by two downtown bars Friday night.

Kicking it off first will be Dirty's Tavern at 325 E. Second St., which will have drink specials, hors d'oeuvres and live entertainment by Less than Perfect from 7 to 10 p.m. Then, from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., the newly opened Candy Bar at 412 E. Second St. will host.

Admission is $10 at either door and includes entrance to both bars. Money raised will benefit Planned Parenthood, which provides infant care, men's and women's health care and screenings, HIV testing and education, and sex education.

For more, call event spokesman Jerrid Horton at 814-7778.

'Flowers Uncut'

Sick of "Jon and Kate Plus 8?" TLC has more reality up its sleeve. The network teamed up with a top floral designer for the new 12-part series, "Flowers Uncut with Jeff Leatham," which premieres at 9 p.m. Wednesday on Cox cable channel 56. The series will show Leatham's fast-paced lifestyle as the in-demand florist builds his floral empire on the New York design scene.
