American progressive metal act Trans-Siberian Orchestra will bring its “Beethoven’s Last Night” rock opera to Green Country on March 23, at The Joint inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa.

Tickets start at $50 and go on sale Feb. 9. Guests must be 21.

“Beethoven’s Last Night” is the fictional story of Ludwig van Beethoven’s battle with the devil in an attempt to save his soul as he completes his tenth symphony.

Many of the songs of the symphonic rock opera are based on Beethoven’s own works, and were originally released in 2000 as a 22-track album.

TSO was founded in 1993 and has become widely popular for its holiday tours. Its live shows are inspired by larger-than-life acts from Queen to Pink Floyd.

Plus guests must be under 40. Went last month. Too loud for me. But I was glad I saw them. Won't go again though.

Sorry to have to break this to you but if it's too loud you're too old.

Walk in movies?

Sure. As opposed to drive-in movies or real theatre.

A couple years ago when they came to OKC, a man was upset that he was not able to see his particular performing troupe. Seems that the TSO is a franchise much like Blue Man Group. There are several traveling troupes of TSO performers. I mean Siberia is a huge country if you think about it. Dr. Zhivago is like 4 hours long uncut.

There are only two troupes. They are not franchises. They perform during the Christmas season. The rest of the year, all of the performers travel as one group with a single schedule.
